FREE CarFit Check For Area Drivers

Signup for FREE CarFit Checkup

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — СÖíÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøCollege is inviting all drivers in the community to make an appointment for a free CarFit check. It's a great opportunity for drivers to see how well they work with their car.

The free  check is Thursday, October 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Stone Creek Church, 2502 S. Race Street, Urbana. СÖíÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøCollege's Occupational Therapy Assistant program students are hosting the event in partnership with AAA auto club and the Clark Lindsey Village retirement community.

Although designed to keep the district's seniors driving safely, CarFit is open to drivers of any age. A CarFit check takes about 20 minutes and is available to all licensed drivers who own a registered vehicle. A trained professional will ask simple questions and complete a 12-point CarFit checklist.

This is not a driving test or mechanical inspection but rather an educational program to teach drivers how to better fit their car to them.

To schedule a free appointment, visit .
