Through the federal government鈥檚 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES)听and the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF),听higher education institutions can provide emergency grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the novel coronavirus. Support for Workforce Training (SWFT)

听

This state-funded program provides short-term (one听year or less) training鈥攖uition-free鈥攖hat leads you to employment in industry-demand fields with life-supporting wages. Besides tuition and fee waivers to take your classes, you may also receive assistance in the form of a stipend. A high school credential is not required to be a part of the program.

WIOA programs help eligible veterans, low-income adults, basic skills-deficient adults, dislocated workers, and youth regain employment through a variety of services. WIOA provides services in two听categories: Career Services and Training Services.
