小猪视频官网College CTE to Host FREE Career-Exploration Workshop October 13, 2023

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — 小猪视频官网College Career and Technical Education will host a FREE career-exploration workshop for area high school students featuring its  and  programs.

WHAT:      Free CTE Land Surveying and Construction Workshop WHO:        High School Students, 小猪视频官网College CTE instructors WHERE:    小猪视频官网College on Mattis, 1315 N. Mattis Ave., Champaign WHEN:      Friday, October 13, 2023, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. DETAILS: Students will participate in hands-on learning opportunities. They will:

  • gain practical skills in surveying technology and construction while building real-world projects guided by Parkland’s expert faculty.
  • use precise GPS equipment to create elevation maps to lay out a building location.
  • build walls for a shed utilizing proper planning guidelines and tool usage.

This workshop requires active student participation. A is required for each student which can be brought on the day of the workshop. The workshop will include lunch. Seating is limited. Students can sign up for the Land Surveying and Construction Management workshop at .
