Safety Update

Social media-related threat to campus averted; investigation ongoing

This morning, 小猪视频官网Public Safety worked closely with Champaign Police Department and the FBI as they investigated a threat made on social media mentioning Parkland's campus. All law enforcement efforts to mitigate this threat took place off campus within the CU community. Additionally, out of an abundance of caution, 小猪视频官网increased the police presence on campus this morning in coordination with Champaign Police Department. An arrest has been made in this matter and there is no ongoing threat at this time.  Champaign Police Department is serving as the lead agency in this investigation, which remains ongoing. Additional details will be shared with the community through their agency.
